The feepit piñata was primarily two punch balls stacked on one another. This made for a great deal of weight squishing down on the bottom of the lower punch ball, so the walls of the pinata had to be made thick enough to support the weight of the piñata. This happens all the time with large pinatas, and the solution is to perforate the walls by repeatedly stabbing the piñata with scissors or a knife, or alternatively by scoring the piñata walls with a razor knife. This way the piñata still has the structural strength to hold itself up, but the perforations provide weaknesses that the stick can tear into.
The feepit's hair tufts and tail were made from pillow stuffing that you buy at a fabric store. I pulled it apart to give it a fluffed appearance, and spray painted it orange and green. The feepit's eyes were styrofoam eggs cut in half and painted black, and the mouth and eyebrows were black pipe cleaners. The eyes and pipe cleaners were hot glued onto the piñata. |
